2005 – what a year that was! 

It was a year of explorers, in which both Ellen MacArthur and Steve Fossett completed historic record-breaking solo trips around the world – Ellen in a sailing boat and Steve in a plane. 

It was a year of music, with Irishman Bob Geldof’s Live 8 concerts taking place around the world to raise awareness of poverty. 

Yet it was also a year of technology, with three companies being founded in 2005 that would go on to have a massive impact on the world. The first two were Reddit and YouTube, both still going strong today. None of us knew back then just how big they would end up becoming! 

And the third tech company? Why, none other than LetsHost of course! Just like YouTube, from our humble beginnings in 2005 we’ve evolved and grown over two decades to become a formidable powerhouse and a leading expert in the industry.

Since we registered our first domain back in 2005, we’ve seen so many changes – the invention of smartphones and social media, huge advances in computing power, hundreds of new domain extensions and, most recently, the development of AI. 

Yet we’re still here – stronger than we’ve ever been. Domains and Hosting remain our core products yet we now offer so much more, such as Email, Website Builder, SSL and more.  

As the industry as evolved so too have we. From originally just selling domains we’re now a complete one-stop shop with all the tools and solutions that any Irish business needs.
